Ice Cream Heaven

The previous model seemed to have very good reviews but was noisy. This appears to have been addressed with the updated model as we did not consider it to make much noise, it is still possible to have the machine operating in the same room and hold a normal conversation. We have made a lot of ice cream since purchase and all has turned out well. We have also made some sorbets and some low fat versions from well known slimming club recipes that have also been well received. Machine is easy to use and to clean. If you are considering a professional machine rather than the type where you have to freeze the bowl this machine is highly recommended by all my family. Have only had the machine since early August but so far have been very happy with it.

Solid machine

I've had Ice Cream machines before. Previously I had a Magimix, but threw it out when the motor gave out (for the second time), and ordered this one instead.It certainly beats the Magimix in the shear robustness. It is larger, although the size of the bucket is much the same. It does not rely on a separate motor unit with its own power lead (like the Magimix) and the paddle is driven from below (rather than the top) which means that the lid can actually be removed while it's working - in fact it is the approach required when adding ingredients during churning. The paddle itself is very robust, and doesn't look like it is about to break, which means that it can carry on churning until much later in the freezing process.I am a bit puzzled with the approach, however, of driving it with a timer. It will require a deal more use to be able to judge, in advance, how long it will take for the ice cream to be ready - there are so many variables: how much liquid you're using, what's the temperature of it, what if anything is being added during the churning. Having set the timer, it would be nice (I would have thought) if the freezer would stay on once the paddle has stopped, in case you aren't actually hovering at the time, but instead the whole machine just turns off.Obviously the ice cream it produces is delicious. It is slightly quieter, I would guess, than the Magimix I had (but don't set it going in a library).

The whole family says its the best ice cream theyve ever tasted. Its easy to use and clean. A great buy.
