Brilliant Product

I have spent ages looking for an automatic pasta machine and finally decided to opt for the Trebs machine. I am so glad that I did, it makes amazing pasta and vermicelli noodles very quickly with perfect results everytime.The machine is so easy to clean aswell which is great as it all comes apart quickly and easily.As some of the other reviews have said, as long as you make sure the consistency is correct, looking like peas, then you will get great tasting pasta in a quick amount of time.I will never go back to buying dried pasta or even trashing my kitchen by making pasta again as the machine does it all ! Put the flour in, turn on, add eggs and water and wait for your great tasting pasta to squeeze through one of the many shapes that you can put into the machine.I also tried putting some wilted spinach in the machine and the results were great so now I am going to experiment with different pasta flavours.I would truly highly recommend this machine to anyone that wants quick homemade fresh pasta.Pasta Gusto Automatic Pasta Maker

High hopes dashed..

I don't write many reviews but after buying this product I felt I should be the first to post my findings.I knew it was a bit of a risk buying a new product like this as there was no available reviews on Amazon or on a web search. I had spent a while looking at the various ways of making fresh pasta with a mixing machine and a bench mounted pasta roller when I came across this, the Trebs Pasta Gusto Automatic Pasta Maker.On opening the box my first impressions were good, it felt solid and well built. It comes with plenty of different pasta making die's for most types of pasta. So after reading the instructions I was ready to try it out.The instructions stated "add 500g of semolina flour and 3 eggs" which I followed to the letter. (It did also state you may have to adjust the quantity's to get the correct consistency. Too dry and the pasta will fall apart and too wet it will break the machine). So after it had mixed the dough into a bread crumb like consistency you open the lower shutter to allow the mixture to fall into the pasta making gears which squeeze it through the pasta shaped die. At first it worked great, the pasta was coming through which I cut to the desired size. Great I thought! the machine really works. but then after the machine had produced half a bowl of pasta it began to slow down more and more. The pasta that was coming out was getting warmer. The longer it went on the slower it became and the pasta was coming out actually hot to the touch. On the first attempt the pasta that was produced did taste OK. The problem was 25% of the mixture was still stuck in the machine.On the second and third attempts I tried various ways to improve the the consistency of the mixture to help the machine to produce a better result, sadly both attempts were less successful than the first and I had to bin the all the flour and egg mixtures. So after these disappointing results I decided to send the machine back, I'm very thankful to Amazon and their first class returns service as I got my full refund. Which allowed me to put the money towards a Kenwood Chef and pasta making attachments which I'm happy to report do work perfectly.

Rubbish!

Well I've tried & tried! I am Mrs Gadget & I hate to be outwitted by any machine. Its hopeless though! It performs like a prototype rather than a tested machine. My own pasta comes out bright & healthy looking, this machine produces grey horrible stuff & half the mix is left in the machine. I have now put it away for the last time & will sell it on very soon. I am an extremely proficient cook, but this machine is awful.
