This persian rice cooker by the traditional persian manufacturer "Pars Khazar" can easily be considered to be the best of its kind. This rice cooker allows for the preperation of every sort of rice (e.g. basmati or jasmine) in either the classic asian manner or using the original "thadig"-method. The latter one is a classical persian way to prepare rice by creating a delicious golden rice-crust around the airy, fluffy rice - this crust is called "thadig". A small wheel enables the user to adjust the thickness of the crust - stage 1 for airy-fluffily until stage 4 for golden-crsipy. Additionally, there is an integrated timer for safe and controlled preparation of the rice. Hence, makring rice becomes a simple matter: spill in some water, add the rice and then press ON. Done! Additional instructions on how to prepare perfect rice in this rice cooker will be added to the packet.

This Persian rice cooker is the small version for up to 4 persons (24cm diameter, 1.1 liter capacity, volt/wattage 230V/500W, CE and German TÜV certified).

5Lovely product, terrible instructions!

I love this rice cooker; it produces a wonderful tadig (crispy rice crust) and fluffy soft rice inside but the instructions are worse than useless. The measuring chart is confusing and the first few uses involved a lot of guesswork and badly cooked or wasted rice. Perseverance, long experience in cooking rice and making my own notes as I went along, allowed me to arrive at a method that works well for me. I wish this marvellous product had equally good instructions to help inexperienced cooks. I am sure some will find it frustrating and give up.
