Not the cheapest portable hob, but in my view the best value for proper kitchen use ( ie it may not be the best one for camping ). It has a stylish modern design with very clean lines - with no knobs or other external controls. It is very versatile to use, and easy to control with only 5 intuitive touch controls, plus a timer. It has a wide range of settings and the usual 2 modes - you either control the power or the temperature. It is powerful and fast at high power, but in low power the hob cycles on and off, so it is easy to "simmer".

Been using this for a coulple of months now, worked well, but then suddendly stopped working today. Had no option but to return and get a refund. Worked great while it was still functioning. Would have been better if the steps between the temp. settings were a bit more refined. Does not simmer too well, the hob keeps clicking in and out regularly, so you don't get a steady simmer. The food bubbles up, then settles down as the induction clicks off, then as the temp drops, it kicks back in and the food starts to simmer again. Great technology, just needs a more refined machine.
