Tefal’s Roast & Bake is a versatile multi-function electric cooker which can be used like a small electric oven.

Unlike a traditional oven however, there is no need to worry about selecting different temperatures for different recipes. With Roast & Bake just press the on/off switch and amazingly it can roast, bake, grill, poach and fry all your favourite recipes.

Roast & Bake is so unique you can use the non-stick pan to sear meats or brown your onions on the hob. Then you can pop the lid on, turn on the switch and finish the cooking. Once ready, you can serve direct to the table. The Roast & Bake’s removable pan is held in a stand with carry handles and non-slip feet ensuring that no heat transfers to the work surface or table. The Roast & Bake is so portable it is also perfect to take when holidaying or camping.

With Tefal innovation, the Roast & Bake pan features a Prometal® coating, meaning it’s three times more durable than Tefal® regular non-stick coating. The pan also features the Thermo-Spot®, a Tefal patented technology, which indicates when the pan is hot enough to start cooking.

For complete ease and convenience, the Roast & Bake has a 4L capacity so an entire meal can be cooked in one pot. And when finished, clean up is a breeze as the pan is dishwasher safe – there is no need to spend time cleaning your oven!

The Roast & Bake also features a handy viewing window in the lid which allows you to check on the cooking progress without the need to remove the lid, thus retaining the heat.

Brilliant product

My wife and I are currently saving for a mortgage and are living in a small rented flat. The oven is useless and could just about fit in a small chicken and that's about it. The solution to this problem, as we both love cooking was this oven. It pretty much does anything that a conventional oven can, but you can fold it away when not in use.We particularly like using it for casseroles and stews.Other than that, its so much easier to clean then an oven, and I really would recommend it to anyone that would be short of space. I would have to say, when we move into a new house, I will still use this for roosting meat as the sealed lid helps to keep the moisture in during cooking. However, if you have a decent oven and a casserole dish at home, then maybe this isn't the ideal thing for you.... 5 stars from me though!

Easy to use and it cooks to perfection

The Tefal Roast and Bake electric cooker is a solid cooking appliance. The stand holds the removable pan which has two strong carry handles that don't get hot when touched. The pan itself is deep and you can make plenty of food with it. The pan has the Tefal trademark red spot heat indicator and, used on it's own can also be put on gas, electric, ceramic and halogen hob. The lid has an enclosed electric element which heats the food and I like the fact that the lid automatically switches on and off when lifting it to stir - which to me is very safe. I'm pleased to say that it comes with a great colourful recipe booklet and I have just tried the first one, a tasty summer vegetable and pasta soup. Following the recipe to the letter was fine but I did need to cook the pasta slightly longer than stated otherwise it was not quite al dente. I was really pleased with the taste and all the veg was cooked to perfection. My next project will be to make a pot roast.This is a great addition to the kitchen which will certanly get its fair share of use by me.

A smashing cooker you won't want to be without.

I chose the Tefal Roast and Bake cooker to replace my Remoska Grand, that died after a long useful life of many years, which I missed badly.I am delighted to say, the Tefal more that fit's the bill. It is only slightly bigger than the Remoska and is more robust.It cooks a great yorkshire pudding and is in almost daily use having been used for cooking full roast dinners, pies and crumbles, oven chips and even an omelette, I started that off in the base only on the stove and put it into the stand with the top on to cook a lovely light omlette.It also saves quite a bit on fuel costs having no longer any need to put the full (electric) oven on.I am sorry to say to Remoska, it is far superior and around £50 cheaper than a replacement Grand.
